What is Pilates by LAF?

Pilates by LAF is a dynamic, full-body workout offered in our state-of-the-art studio. Workouts are taught by certified teachers and performed on specialized equipment, integrating the Reformer, TRX® bands, Barre and weights. Each apparatus is spring-loaded to ensure that no muscle is over or undertrained, and exercises are specially designed to facilitate strength training, range of motion and flexibility.

Who is qualified to teach Pilates?

Our certified teachers perform hundreds of hours of specialized training, ensuring our members get the most out of their Pilates routine.

What Pilates workouts do you offer?

No matter your level of fitness, there’s a Pilates workout for you. And it’s more than just Reformers. We teach classes using TRX®, Barre, Exo®-Chair, Bosu® ball, mats, rollers, and more. Review our workout options and choose your perfect fit.

Who can participate?

Pilates by LAF is available to LA Fitness members and non-LA Fitness members 18 years of age or older (or at least 14 years of age and accompanies by a parent or legal guardian). Not a member? How do I reserve a Reformer?

As a member of Pilates by LAF, you can reserve your Reformer using our Mobile App or online at the LA Fitness website. Visit, sign into your account, click on Member Tools, and locate My Pilates on the drop-down menu. On the Mobile App, simply click on the Pilates button and book a workout.

What are my membership options?

What should I wear?

We recommend form-fitting attire, as our workouts are fast-paced and performed on specialized equipment. Members are required to wear gripping toe socks for safety and hygiene purposes.

What is the Pilates workout reservation policy?

Pilates workout reservations open 14 days prior to each workout and close as soon as the workout starts. Unlimited members are able to book up to 15 workouts at a time.

What is the late cancellation policy?

Given our small workout sizes, we require a minimum 12 hours’ notice for the cancellation of a single workout. Late cancellations and missed workouts are charged a $10 late cancellation fee (for unlimited members) or deducted a workout day (for non-unlimited members).

How does the waitlist work?

If a Pilates workout is full, a waitlist option will appear on the schedule. If a Reformer frees up, the first person on the waitlist is sent an email and given 6 hours to confirm. If that person fails to confirm or indicates that they are no longer interested, the second person on the waitlist is notified by email, and so on. Confirmation is required to be added to the workout.
